Force of Valor Charter

val·or : strength of mind or spirit that enables a person to encounter danger with firmness

Respect. Honor. Valor. The meaning behind these words is the driving force for members of Force of Valor. Through selfless acts, strong friendships and proud dedication we strive to make Norrath a better place for all. Those that wear the Force of Valor guild tag do so proudly.

Who is Force of Valor?

Force of Valor is an Everquest Guild on the Tunare server. We are a casual family oriented guild open to all levels, classes and races that enjoys having fun in a nice gaming atmosphere. We occasionally raid but are not a raiding guild. If you are looking for a raiding guild, FoV is not for you. We frequently have guild events and raids that are open to all members, though they are never mandatory. Our rules are simple : Follow this charter and enjoy your time playing. Because of our family atmosphere, we do have restrictions on language (See Code of Conduct below).

Code of Conduct

Force of Valor is a respected guild throughout Norrath. Because we are open to members of all ages and backgrounds, we do have some restrictions:

Have fun while playing! EQ is a game and we pay money to be here. Let’s make the best of it!

  • In general, the *Play-Nice* policies used by Sony apply. No casinos, exploits, training, “kill-stealing” or “ninja-looting” is allowed.
  • No cursing or improper language of any kind while you wear the FoV guild tag. This includes swear words and their acronym counterparts, improper sexual comments, or any other otherwise offensive language. This applies to /ooc, /guildsay, /group, /shout and /say.
  • Please refrain from any off-color humor or politically charged chat.
  • If you prefer to remain anonymous, please use /role instead of /anon. This allows the FoV guild tag to remain visible, while hiding your level and class. You WANT to show off the FoV tag!
  • Buff-begging and requests for power-leveling are looked down upon in Force of Valor. Our members always love to help out and buff in any way possible, but begging and consistently asking for buffs or rezzes is undesired.

Membership

Force of Valor is open to all players regardless of their race, class, level or religion. However, we do require that all players follow the rules of our charter.

To become a member of Force of Valor, There are a few simple steps that you must follow :

  1. Read and agree to this charter.
  2. If you believe FOV is right for you, you may post an application in the Introduction : Applicants section of our message boards.
  3. Find 1 sponsor to host you. A sponsor must be an FoV member who is not currently sponsoring anyone else. Sponsors have a responsibility to the initiates and to FoV to assure that the new initiate is welcome, and that the charter is upheld. An officer may sponsor as many initiates as they’d like.
  4. An officer will contact you and “tag” you in as an initiate! Congratulations! You are now an initiate member of Force of Valor!

You will be an initiate for at least 30 days, after which time the officers will vote on your full membership. If you abide by this charter and wear the FoV tag proudly, you will have no problems becoming a full member.

Full member announcements are generally done once per month. Your announcement will fall on the next announcement date after your 30 day initiate period is up. Full members have several privileges. They have access to the Private section of the message boards and may also invite as many alt characters as they’d like.

Leadership

Force of Valor is co-lead by two guild leaders, Fading and Artameus. We also have a strong group of officers that help to make Force of Valor the great guild that we are. Officers are involved with the everyday workings of the guild, including inviting new members, handling any possible disputes, message board activity and event planning for the guild.
